|Dear Collier County Voters:
After the untimely death of Dwight Brock and my subsequent appointment as your Clerk by the governor, my experience as Dwight’s second-in-command facilitated a transparent and smooth transition without interruption of service to you, the taxpayer.
I have spent 30 years managing Collier County finances. You work hard for your money. My staff and I work hard to protect those dollars – over a billion dollars a year.
I work with the Board of County Commissioners, vendors, and the courts to protect and ensure the legal expenditure of your taxpayer dollars. I work for you as the check and balance of County expenditures. We pay over 100,000 invoices annually.
There are a small percentage of invoices that we cannot and will not pay, including fraudulent invoices or invoices that do not comply with the Boards contractual agreements. Our audits have saved the taxpayers millions of dollars.
I have the experience, education, and integrity needed to manage the diverse operations of the Clerk’s office and to continue as your watchdog. Many voters have voiced their support at two recent straw polls where I was the overwhelming winner.
I am very thankful for the public support. In fact, in the Naples Daily News endorsement, they stated that I have “…far superior knowledge of where the office has been, what’s changed and how the public might be better served.” You are welcome to see their written endorsement and those of others at my website at crystalkinzel.com.
I want to thank everyone who has supported our campaign. I have been very fortunate to have the support of Clerk staff, the public, and my friends and family. We are in the final stretch to early voting and the election August 28th.
I respectfully ask for you to vote for me, Crystal Kinzel, to continue as your Clerk of Courts.
